Las novelas de Nidels, siempre se ha centrado en 1 eje fundamental. La superación de las adversidades. En esta historia tenemos 3 personajes principales. Zors, un viejo mago que, a pesar de sus grandes hazañas, es incapaz de verlas, sometiéndose a una degradante y deleznable depresión, debido en gran parte a su absurda creencia de que la vejez es la incapacidad del cuerpo y de la mente, y sometiéndose a esta idea sin reparo alguno. Artáky es en cambio todo lo contrario, pues la vida no ha sido precisamente benévola con él. Con una edad de apenas 10 años, parapléjico desde su nacimiento, y con un padre viudo y sumamente protector, siempre ha sabido el poder superarse ante los obstáculos y adversidades que le ponía la vida por delante, por muy duras que estas fueran. Con Nidels vemos otro aspecto cada vez más abundante en nuestra sociedad. El abandono de nuestros valores más nobles. Siendo un chico algo rebelde, pero de buen corazón, mantiene una terrible lucha interna, pues veremos como lentamente, el muchacho muta en aras del mal debido en gran parte a las continuas frustraciones que le deparará la vida.
