Sinopsis Synopsis
Los espacios naturales de la Región de Murcia sorprenden por su variedad y riqueza, en una extensión muy reducida de terrenos y en constante lucha con la huella humana.
Su principal característica es la ausencia de agua contando con la presencia de importantes especies africanas. Es uno de los principales espacios del continente europeo con una clara afectación por el cambio climático.
The natural spaces of the Region of Murcia are surprising for their variety and richness, home of both African and European species which coexist in a really small area of land in constant struggle with the human footprint.
Characterized by its the absence of water, it is one of the spaces on the European continent that is more clearly affected by climate change.

Biografía Biography
Jose Francisco Calvo Sendín, nacido en Salamanca en 1964, es Catedrático de Ecología de la Universidad de Murcia, donde compagina su actividad docente e investigadora con trabajos de divulgación científica.
Ha publicado diversos libros y dirigido varios documentales sobre la naturaleza y la biodiversidad de la Región de Murcia.Es el investigador principal del Grupo de Transferencia de Conocimiento Divulgación Ecológica Audiovisual.

Jose Francisco Calvo Sendín, born in Salamanca in 1964, is Professor of Ecology at the University of Murcia, where he combines his teaching labor and research activities with scientific outreach work.
He has published several books and directed several documentaries about the nature and biodiversity of the Region of Murcia. He is the main researcher of the Knowledge Transfer Group Audiovisual Ecological Dissemination.
