Sinopsis Synopsis
Los hieleros del Chimborazo se han sometido durante siglos a la inclemencia de este volcán de los Andes Ecuatorianos a cambio de picar un poco de hielo y proveer a su pueblo.
Baltazar es el único que continúa con esta profesión, caminando diariamente durante horas para extraer bloques de hielo. Él recuerda con melancolía su juventud y a sus compañeros.
Chimborazo s ice pickers have long been subjected for years to the inclemency of the volcano, located in the Ecuadorian Andes. In exchange, they crush some of its ice to provide for their people.
Baltazar Ushca is the only one who continue this profession, daily walking for hours to get blocks of ice. He remembers his youth and his companions.

Biografía Biography
Keila Cepeda (Riobamba, Ecuador. 1994). Apasionada de la animación, cuya trayectoria creativa le ha llevado a convertirse en autora y directora. Obtuvo una Licenciatura en producción multimedia y un máster en Animación. Ingresando al mundo profesional de la animación en 2015, ha contribuido en el desarrollo y animación de cortometrajes, y series animadas (Kukla 2017, Los Crakoshans 2018, Un cuarto de equipaje 2021). En 2019 comienza la dirección de Chimborazo, cortometraje que ayuda a consolidar su posición de autora.

Keila Cepeda (Riobamba, Ecuador. 1994). Passionate about animation, whose creative career has led her to become an author and director. She earned a Bachelor s degree in multimedia production and a master s degree in Animation. Entering the professional world of animation in 2015, she has contributed to the development and animation of short films, and animated series (Kukla 2017, Los Crakoshans 2018, A Quarter of Luggage 2021). In 2019 she began directing Chimborazo, a short film that helps consolidate her position as an author.
