Claroscura nace con la intención de unir el thiller psicológico con el mundo del arte.
El corto, estará inspirado en el relato del mismo nombre ganador del Certamen Municipal Creamurcia en 2009. Aun así, la acción se ha trasladado a la actualidad y el contexto se ha modificado para dotarlo de una atmósfera más relacionada con la creación artística, la crisis de identidad y la gestión de la rabia.
Aspectos tan poco tratados normalmente en el cine de suspense, como la influencia de la opinión de los demás sobre el propio yo, serán desarrollados en el cortometraje a través del suspense y terror.
De esta manera, el proyecto bebe tanto de cintas clásicas del género, como Psicosis de Alfred Hitchcock, o El quimérico inquilino de Roman Polanski, como de rotundos éxitos actuales en el género como Maligno de James Wan, o la serie Servant de M. Night Shyamalan, entre otras. Con esta última, comparte el desarrollo en un solo espacio, dotando a la arquitectura de identidad propia. A su vez, se aprovechará el contexto artístico para jugar con una estética radicalmente opuesta a los clichés del género, jugando con una gama cromática más cercana a películas como The square de Ruben Östlund, entre otras.
El cortometraje transcurre en su totalidad en un solo espacio, siendo este el estudio de arte de Clara y su vivienda personal. En él visitaremos varios espacios, principalmente el estudio donde trabaja y su oficina, aunque a grandes rasgos se mostrará en su totalidad.

Chiaroscura was born with the intention of linking the psychological thriller genre with the world of art.
The short will be inspired by the story of the same name, winner of the Creamurcia Municipal Contest in 2009. Moreover, the action has been transferred to the present day and the context has been modified to give it an atmosphere more related to artistic creation, the crisis identity and anger management.
Aspects that are rarely treated in suspense films, such as the influence of the opinion of others on one s own self, will be developed in the short film through suspense and terror.
In this way, the project drinks both from classic films of the genre, such as Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock, or The Tenant by Roman Polanski, as well as resounding current successes in the genre such as Malignant by James Wan, or the series Servant by M. Night Shyamalan, among others. With the latter, it shares the development in a single space, giving the architecture its own identity. At the same time, the artistic context will be used to play with an aesthetic radically opposed to the clichés of the genre, playing with a chromatic range closer to films such as Ruben Östlund s The square, among others.
The short film takes place entirely in a single space, Clara s art studio. We will then visit several spaces, mainly the studio where she works and her office, although eventually we will end up seeing the entire space.
