Sinopsis Synopsis

Rocío es la madre de Lucía, una niña que nació con una enfermedad poco común. Embarazada de dos meses y viuda, vive en un mundo que acaba de empezar a ser gobernado por la Inteligencia Artificial.

Rocío is the mother of Lucía, a girl born with a rare disease. Two months pregnant and widowed, she lives in a world that has just begun to be governed by Artificial Intelligence.

Biografía Biography

Jesús Graván Sánchez, nacido en el Puerto de Santa María, 1983. Es Licenciado en Filología Hispánica por la Universidad de Cádiz y Postgraduado en guión de cine y tv por la Fundación San Valero. También ha estudiado Dirección de cine en el Instituto de cine de Madrid y en la Escuela de cine de la UCA.
Ha escrito y dirigido 10 cortometrajes: Dulce sueño de sombras, Inocencia, Del amor y otras desgracias, El que anda con luz(Corto-documental), Diario de una Skater, Cicatrices, Un buen día, Un día más sin ti, Gracias al cine (Corto-documental), Elipsis, Nubes e IA, con los que ha sido premiado y seleccionado en multitud de concursos y festivales a nivel nacional e internacional como: el Concurso de Cortometrajes Rodando por Jaén (2014-2017); el Festival Internacional de Cine deportivo OverTime Films, 2016 (México); la 16 Muestra Internacional de Cine LGBTI de Valladolid, 2016; el II Concurso de Cortometrajes de Cine Rural de Saldaña 2016; el Certamen de Cortometrajes Decortoan JOVEN (Jaén 2016); el XIII Festival Internacional de Cine Gay Lésbico Trans Bi, en Lima, el OUTFESTPERU (2016); el 12 Festival Internacional de Cine LGTBI de Paraguay 2016, el Festival de Cine en Resistencia (Sevilla 2016) y la IX Edición del Festival “Pilas en Corto” (2017). También ha sido seleccionado para la XII Muestra del Audiovisual Andaluz de Sevilla y XII Muestra del Audiovisual Andaluz en Málaga en 2017 y la XII Muestra del Audiovisual Andaluz en Cádiz.
Además de sus cortometrajes, también es guionista y director de los largometrajes documentales: Infravivienda (Filmin), Caminando contigo, que se estrenó en septiembre de 2019 durante la 51 edición del Festival de Alcances; el mediometraje Documental: Luisa Rendón Martell. La Utopía Truncada. Seleccionado para la Sección Exilios de Ida y Vuelta en la 49 edición del Festival de Alcances (Cádiz) y televisado por Canal sur y Andalucía tv.

Jesús Graván Sánchez, born in El Puerto de Santa María in 1983, holds a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Cádiz and a postgraduate degree in film and TV screenwriting from the San Valero Foundation. He also studied Film Direction at the Madrid Film Institute (Instituto de cine de Madrid) and the UCA Film School (Escuela de cine de la UCA).
He has written and directed 10 short films: Dulce sueño de sombras (Sweet Dream of Shadows), Inocencia (Innocence), Del amor y otras desgracias (Of Love and Other Misfortunes), El que anda con luz (He Who Walks with Light, Short-documentary), Diario de una Skater (Skater's Diary), Cicatrices (Scars), Un buen día (A Good Day), Un día más sin ti (One More Day Without You), Gracias al cine (Thanks to Cinema, Short-documentary), Elipsis (Ellipsis), Nubes (Clouds), and IA (AI), with which he has been awarded and selected in a multitude of national and international competitions and festivals such as: the Rodando por Jaén Short Film Competition (2014-2017); the OverTime Films International Sports Film Festival, 2016 (Mexico); the 16th Valladolid International LGBTI Film Screening, 2016; the 2nd Saldaña Rural Film Short Film Competition, 2016; the Decortoan JOVEN Short Film Contest (Jaén 2016); the 13th International Gay Lesbian Trans Bi Film Festival in Lima, OUTFESTPERU (2016); the 12th International LGTBI Film Festival of Paraguay 2016, the Film Festival in Resistance (Seville 2016), and the 9th Edition of the "Pilas en Corto" Festival (2017). He was also selected for the 12th Andalusian Audiovisual Showcase in Seville and the 12th Andalusian Audiovisual Showcase in Malaga in 2017, and the 12th Andalusian Audiovisual Showcase in Cádiz.
In addition to his short films, he is also the screenwriter and director of the feature-length documentaries: Infravivienda (Substandard Housing, in post-production), Caminando contigo (Walking with You), which premiered in September 2019 during the 51st edition of the Alcances Festival; and the documentary medium-length film: Luisa Rendón Martell. La Utopía Truncada (The Truncated Utopia). This film was selected for the Exiles: Round Trip Section at the 49th edition of the Alcances Festival (Cádiz) and televised by Canal Sur and Andalucía TV.
